Designer Retail Complex – An Architectural Step Forward at the Krk Market
For the needs of the city market on the island of Krk, we completed a complex of commercial buildings that redefines the aesthetic standards of retail spaces. The visual identity of the project is defined by a unique designer façade made of irregularly shaped metal cassettes, creating a dynamic and modern structure that blends perfectly into the Mediterranean ambience. The buildings are functionally connected by a pergola made of a massive steel structure and fabric, creating a pleasant covered area for customers and visitors.
Each retail unit is equipped with high-quality aluminum folding glass walls that allow the space to be fully open and airy, while a stainless steel sink is installed inside. Safety and ambience have been raised to the highest level with an integrated fire alarm system and ambient external LED lighting that emphasizes the contours of the building in the evening hours.
